Ambler Flatwoods Nature Preserve is a 521-acre sanctuary located just east of Michigan City, Indiana, managed by the Shirley Heinze Land Trust.This preserve offers a rare glimpse into a boreal flatwoods ecosystem, characterized by its flat, wet terrain and unique biodiversity.It’s one of the few places in Indiana where such a community is found, making it a valuable site for nature enthusiasts and researchers alike.
